Insights We’ve achieved ISO27001

After a long, thorough and insightful process, we’re proud to announce that The Escape has achieved ISO27001 accreditation! 

It’s fair to say that both consumers and businesses are more aware than ever before of how their data is being used, and rightly so. But while some companies are consciously or unconsciously sitting on the sidelines, bystanders to online security and potential data breaches, we made a conscious decision to ensure cyber security is an ongoing business priority. We have always taken the subject extremely seriously, but challenging ourselves to achieve ISO27001 and passing with flying colours represents a huge step forward in our ongoing mission to ensure the highest level of data and risk management for ourselves and our clients.

ISO27001 is a globally recognised standard for information security management systems (ISMS). It provides a comprehensive framework of policies and procedures designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data we hold. By achieving this certification, we’ve demonstrated that The Escape has thoroughly assessed potential risks to our information security and implemented robust controls to address them.

The path to ISO27001 was certainly a thorough process that touched every part of our business. Our data and information security practices now comply with globally recognised standards and we’re delighted we meet the stringent demands required to achieve accreditation. This includes regular risk assessments, internal audits, and a commitment to continuous improvement in response to the ever-changing digital security landscape. 

We’re proud of this achievement and what it means for our customers, partners, and our Escapees. While we have achieved the accreditation, we’re by no means going to rest on our laurels and think the job is done. The ongoing work starts now and as a team we remain committed to upholding the high standards we’ve set ourselves.
